Uvb light at night

Should i turn the uvb light off at night for my chameleon? I have the night basking light and heat pad on the side for warmth.

No light at night. Light prevents deep rest (for humans also, by the way- night lights aren't good for us- even a little light is not good for optimal sleep).

Also no heat at night of any kind. Veileds can easily go down to 50 at night- I let them go into the low 40s even with no problems. New hatched babies down to 50 is not a problem. Reduced temperatures lower the metabolism and provide a deeper rest state.

If I may... I would recommend you go to the resource section at the top of the page and read ALL the fantastic information provided there. After you have studied that most of your questions will be answered. If after you have done that and you have any other questions everyone will be happy to answer them. This site is by far the best source of information you can find on keeping chameleons and we are all happy you are here. Most new Cham keepers have questions that will be answered in the resource section and many have additional questions that can be answered by many of the knowledgeable members here.
Welcome to the forum :)
