UVB flourescant

my fluker farms reptisun 5.0 stopped working today and the closest thing the local pet store had was a exo terra repti glo 5.0 UVB. is this light adequate?

I think that would be adequate. Others may differ.

I use both. I have both and I feel they work the same.

Also, after a while, they don't really produce the UV light so you have to replace them.

I am not sure where you bought it but anytime I have had a light die on me prematurely I return it and get a new one. Maybe I am just lucky and have a good pet store in my area, but 3 weeks is way too soon for a bulb to burn out. But I use the bulb you just purchased, so I hope it is fine
