ok, canada is really starting to tick me off. lol. few questions about lighting and fixtures. i am building a cage that requires a comfortable 36" T8 fixture, minimum 24". now i have called every building center in the area home depot, lowes, ect. no where can i find fixtures with these requirements. the BEST i found was a 48" fixture T8 with 32W. the uvb tubes for reptiles are 40W for the 48" and 30W for 36"-24". this is a headach. because every place ive called said there isnt even such thing. ANNNNNNY suggestions on what to do? im going to need this soon:(

Im pretty sure I saw a 24" fixture at Canadian Tire when I was looking for an 18" one. Have not seen any 36" though, sorry.

dont wanna order but thanks mike. canadian tire did have one. only its 48" its going to be hanging off the sides a little bit but oh well. just want to say that the way exo-terra makes these products is friggen stupid! but what are you going to do... make your own bulb? lol

Windsor isnt really all that far from Mississauga but there is reptile show with lots of exibitors there next sunday (april 25) and you may be able to find one there? If you are thinking of going, one of this sites sponsors (chameleon nation) will be there and they may have what you are looking for but I would ask in advance at there website, they are very good at responding. (same site as above, that is them)

yeah man, i realy want to go. and its not that far, but far enough for someone on a budget lol. plus going there with limited cash would just be a tease seeing everything they have there. but let me know what types of species chameleons they have around and the prices that'd be awsome

My local hardware store sells fixtures for a whole range of sizes. Just keep trying different stores. Even try Hydroponic supply shops or head shops. That's where I found a great fixture that can take T12 OR T8

i found one, a 48'' double T8 for 25$. its for 32W but the guy there said that they have turned all 40W into 32W, i dont know why. exo-terra must not be up-to date with stuff. but i tried it out and it worked perfectly fine and right away. should i be worried about the UV frequencies being under now? or should it would the same?
