so..... my cham cage is right next to a window in my living room...
they get natural sun light from 7 am to 5 pm ... something like that (since its winter time)...
should I still leave the uv light on??
I have turned it on, and I can hardly see the light...
what should I do?

is there a glass where the sun comes threw if so than you should still keep the light on just because you cant see the rays doesnt meen there not coming out

i would still use the uvb because thats directly on the chameleon and the cage you cannot count on the sun threw the window for its uvb. i dont think windows count if you had it outside for the sun that would. maybe you cant see the light because its getting old. how long have you had your uvb light?

If there is glass between the outside and your cage (ie the window is closed) then yes keep your uvb light on. UVB cannot pass through glass or plastic, so while it will be good for keeping your temps right, it will do nothing for uvb.
Now, if the window is open, then you can turn your uvb light off for the few hours that the natural sunlight hits your cham, so long as your cham is in a mesh cage, not a glass/plastic one.
Natural sunlight is always better for chams than the uvb bulbs.
Remember, though, if your window is open, it will affect the temps in your cage.

the issue is how much natural light meaning not filtered through glass is it getting every week, if it getting more than 5 hrs a week i would discontinue supplemental d3 all together normally i would say 3, but its being filtered through 2 layers of screen, so thats a significant factor. but i would still use your uvb everyday and he should still have an incandescent for uva.

uvb doesnt provide a very bright or pleasant spectrum for the eyes. if you want to brighten things up, then i would get a 6500k light for your plants. imo, best to keep your lights on timers so as to provide a regular schedule. jmo

Here you said UV. Is that a typo and you have a UBV.

What kind do you have :)

It's actually UVB not UBV. UVB is Ultraviolet radiation of relatively short wavelengths (the B part) while UVA is Ultraviolet radiation of relatively long wavelengths (the A part). The last letter defines the wavelength
