I have a fluorescent UV tube bulb on a magnetic controller (Arcadia ACR-18 Type 3C) with wired connectors at each end of the bulb. One connection wire is longer than the other and I want to extend the shorter wire by about six inches for more efficient mounting in the viv.
I want to know whether I can just cut and extend the shorter wire between the controller/starter and the bulb, and if so, what type of wire I need to buy to do this.
I understand there's a question of resistance etc, so may not seem as simple as it might first appear, so I'm hoping someone has done this before and can advise!
