Uromastyx question

I have a question about my Mali Uromastyx. I was holding my male, and all the sudden started taking a poo. I put him back in his cage, and let him do his business. I am AMAZED by how much he went. I was wondering for those of you who have Uros, do they hold it in and go a lot for you(this is what he seems to do), or do they go regularly? Some times he does go pretty regularly, but sometimes he just holds it. Just wondering if that is bad?

I've had him for over five years and he has never done that...

Actually mine is a rescue that i got about a year ago, and she's done it about three times..lol..Another peculiar thing she does is chase the birds that land on the grass and try and whip them since she lives in the backyard..haha.
