I was just wondering how loud is the POPPING or WHEEZING sound supposed to be when a Cham has a URI...
For the last two days My Cham has been sitting in different areas of the cage with his mouth open. Most of the posts that I have been reviewing would indicated that it would be temp problem and the guy would be thermo regulating. today my female started to do the same thing. I spray them down with water and they seem to settle back down again.
They do it when under My UVB light and also out on the porch. I just turn the lights out to see if they will do it again. It doesn't matter if I am close to the cage or not.
Ambient Temps here have gone up just a little by about 3 to 4 degrees but it has not been anything drastic.
Just checked and they are all sleeping like logs.

Cage Info:
• Cage Type – 24x18x12 screen cage
• Lighting – Ambient light, Chameleons get to sit out on porch, anywhere from 6 to 12 hours per day otherwise slimline UVB 10.0 total lights on 14 hours
• Temperature – Hawaii temps Day time 86 night time in hours 65 to 70’s
• Humidity – anywhere from 50 to 60% spray cage 3 to 4 times per day added dendrobium to assist with humidity
• Plants – artificial plants…on home made dowel tree,dendrobium
• Location – Cage location in corner of living room, medium to low traffic, ceiling fan if in house. otherwise on porch with ambient wind
Chameleon Info:
• Your Chameleon –both about 1 year old male/female chameleon and 1 orange spotted day gecko.
• Feeding – crickets and meal worms. House flies when caught, Every one is eating well. About 6 to 8 cricket every day 6 to 8 meal worms gut loaded with greens. carrots. oranges occ dusting
• Supplements – calcium with D3 1x/week, zoomed multivitamin with D3 1x/2weeks,
• Watering – drip system in constant modification. Located currently a mid level of cage, misting 3 to 6 times per day as time allows
• Fecal Description – mostly brown with white specks.
• History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.
