upper respitory contagious?

Took my 9 month old xanth to the vet today he was laying on the bottom of cage he has some signs of mbd but the vet said it was upper repository and put him on betra antibiotics getting him to.eat.is still an issue he has lost a tremendous amount of weight!

Did you mean to ask "are repiratory infections contagious?" ?

Answer: Most likely no.

People are quick to blame all sorts of cham health problems on MBD, but without any info about your husbandry and your chams it is impossible to guess either way. A cham lying on the bottom of the cage is in trouble, but again without more info we can't help very much.

Can anyone else weigh in on RI's being contagious? I took in a Chameleon with an RI for a friend. I haven't noticed any signs from my other Chams, but that worries me. You wouldn't think it would be contagious.
