unusual behavior

I have a weird story. Several years ago while on my porch in Florida, I was "stalked" by a green anole. He focused on me, bobbing his head and showing his dewlap. He chased me around slowly, moving toward me when I moved away. I thought it was strange how focused he was on me and did a little research. I found a post somewhere in which a girl said her boyfriend's iguana would attack her when she was having her period.

Now in Texas I have had the same thing happen, almost. This time I noticed him displaying and sat still to watch. He came across the patio and jumped on me! I was so startled I jumped up and he fell off of my leg. I was weirded out so I shoo'd him away. I've asked everyone I know (not really, but alot of people) if they've ever had a wild anole jump on them and I get alot of strange looks, but no "yeses."

Anybody ever heard of this? Or am I a green anole and no one has ever had the heart to tell me?

LOL-they can be brave little monsters. They defend their territories like many other lizards. I can tell you the many that live on my back porch are hardly afraid of me.

I have many anoles on my patio and for some reason whenever they see my female veiled chameleon..they run out of their bushes and try to get to her. I have no idea why. My guess is they like her:p

Sorry the anole jumped on you. LOL if you can type..your not an anole:p:)

I wasn't upset that he jumped on me, just surprised. I couldn't catch one if I tried, so it was strange to have one come to me unbidden. If it happens again, I'll just sit still and see what happens. So...has this happened to anyone else?
