unexpected cage babies!!

Wow Brian what a cool surprise. So she purposely ignored the laying bin you had in there and laid in the plant instead. Was the dirt in the plant covered with some rocks or just completely exposed?

I did not have rocks ontop of the dirt but the plant was so packed with roots, I thought at the time anyway, that it was unlikely she laid in the plant. This is not the first time I have had a female lay in their plant over the laying bin. It is the first time I looked everywhere and could not find the eggs.
We had one of the pipped eggs hatch last night so now 4 walking around! All look healthy as can be.
