Underweight?

Chameleon Info: I purchased a male Nosy Be panther chameleon about 4 days ago and have been very paranoid ever since, the people at the reptile store have had the chameleon for over 6 months living on a free range, and they say that he is about 2 years old.

Your Chameleon - Nosy Be Panther Chameleon, male, about 2 years old, been in my care for about 4 days

Handling - Minimal, only when I unpacked him, and another time when I needed to adjust his cage?

Feeding - Gutloaded super worms and crickets dusted with calcium with D3 and multivitamin powder, Have see him eat one super worm, but he has eaten more than that, at least 5, and there are crickets both in a cup and free ranging in the cage some of which have been eaten

Supplements - Flukers calcium with D3, and reptivitamin, and feeding crickets and super worms flakers high calcium cricket diet.

Watering - I have a monsoon rainfall system that mists for 2 minutes about every two hours, and I have tried hand misting, but have only seen my chameleon drink once.

Fecal Description - Chameleon has pooped twice since I purchased him, both poops being normal looking with white urates.

History - The store from which I purchased him had been housing him in a 6 foot "tree" free range, a small cypress (I think) trunk with a pothos vining throughout. They also said that he would drink straight from a misting bottle nozzle, but he hasn't done that for me

Cage Info:

Cage Type - 4x2x2 reptibreeze

Lighting - 100 watt heat bulb, 70 watt grow bulb(for extra lighting), two UVB bulbs. The lights are on a timer and come on at 8:00 AM and go off at 10:00 PM.

Temperature - The basking bulb is about 8 inches above his basking vine, and the temperature up there is in the 80's approximately, and the rest of the cage is room temperature, about 70-72 degrees.

Humidity - I do not currently have a hygrometer (I really regret that) but the cage seems to dry up relatively fast after being misted

Plants - A large variety of faux plants and vines secured throughout the cage, but no live plants (I don't feel confident that I can maintain them).

Placement - The cage against the wall in the living room, with a vent above it about 3 1/2 feet away, and there is a ceiling fan that is nearly never used in the next room. The cage top is probably about 6 feet from the floor.

Location - Nashville, TN

Current Problem - I feel like my chameleon is underweight. I can see his ribs when he stretches out, and his skin wrinkles when he is in certain positions. I would post a picture but don't know how seeing as I only have an iPhone to take picture. Also, his tail seems a bit thin and has brownish tint on the end. On an unrelated note, he sometimes closes only his left eye for extended periods of time, which the people at the store had a reptile vet check out and they said that he said that it was okay. Any thoughts on all of this? Advice would be appreciated, and I'll post pictures if I can figure out how.

To post a picture you need to scroll down to the 'Additional Options' sections below where you have the option to type. You then need to select the 'Manage Attachments' button and it will have an option that is something along the lines of 'Upload from computer' (probably something slightly different). Then you just select 'From Camera Roll' and then you know the drill.

About your calcium dusing. Dusting with D3 calcium should be done at max twice a month, without D3 every other day. Vitamines are given like D3.

Chameleons can take a while to settle in to their new home. Most chameleons do not eat for the first days. I was like you when I got mine, was all worked up because he didn't eat. My cham did best eating when he thought I wasnt watching or at a safe distance. He still feels that pressure when my familymembers sit to close to his enclosure when I feed him.

I am not sure if he is underweight tho. Pictures would be the best, easier to judge :)
