two sides two colour shades

is it strange for a male veiled to have different colours on each side of his body. basking side dark green and brown stripes, opposite green and yellow?

I bet he is kinda flat looking and almost looke like a Satilite Dish?

He is absorbing heat and that is perfectly normal.
