1. It is getting cold in my area and at night my cage gets to about 69 down to 66 at night.. should i used red night lights to keep it a little warmer ?

2. Though my cham does not have mites, i have many live plants in his enclosure, and i was curious if there are any ways to prevent mites from happening?

For the heat lamps at night- I wouldn't. Night cool down is good and your temps are not extreme at all. Mine often go down near 50 at night during the cooler months of the year, no problems after many years.

Mites have to be introduced- they don't happen spontaneously.

1. Temp drop is good for chams. You would want to add a night heater if the heat drops below 55F.

2. I have plants and have never had problems with mites, and I don't do anything special to prevent them.

Agreed with Fluxlizard, your temps are fine and you are in no need for heat and he is right that a cool down at night is a good thing.
