I didn't know they did this in Kitchener too. They've done it in Burlington for ages.

Oh cool. I didn't even know they did this until this year. Great to see that people care enough to close down the roads for them.

I am so glad this is posted i see people when i stop to get a turtle off the road they swerve to hit it on purpose i have been saving turtles for years

Jwillchamel...I've seen people try to run over squirrels and other critters too. Sick!

Lennoncham...I think there are other places they close roads for salamanders.
There are also fences and tunnels in some places around the area to direct wildlife under highways too....
