Turnip greens

I was just recently told not to feed turnip greens to my veiled chameleon. Why is this? I have heard that they are fine other places.

Only feed them insects...You shouldnt feed them greens unless they eat it themselves which is a tendancy veileds have. But you can gutload with them

Although veiled’s will eat some plant matter, they don’t need it or really benefit from it. It’s also that they don’t have the ability to digest it. Why they eat their plants...the jury is still out on that. All they need is live buggies. Use the turnip greens to gut loading instead...much better way to pass nutrition on to your cham. To us humans, food isn’t just nutrition, but is enjoyment and variety and love. To your cham...it’s just nutrition.

Okay, thanks so much!

Leafy vegetables will mature in one to two months, depending on the variety you choose. Determine the planting date and add the plant's growth period to know the optimal harvest time for maximum yield
