Hey guy I got a Danby Premiere wine cooler for really cheap:)I was wanting to see if any one has turned one in to a incubator? I tryed pluging it in to a Alife thermostat that has a electronic temp. controller. Well it didnt work it only reads heat not what temp. you set it for:confused:so now I am open to suggestions. I dont need it to heat just to keep a 75 degrees temp. The max temp it can go to on the unit it self is 57 degrees........... IT IS HOT IN TEXAS:p

I converted a wine cooler into a brumator for cooling snakes for breeding. It worked pretty good, but just beware that the thermoelectric coolers are very dependant on the ambient temperatures to set the internal temp. I had a really cold night in my shop where this was and the cooler went down almost to freezing. I think a better bet is to get one of the Johnson thermostat controllers like they sell for beer making. You plug the refrigerator into it and put a probe into the box. It is very accurate and you can use any old refrigerator you can pick up dirt cheap.

I was obsessed with patternless Goini kingsnakes for awhile, and Brooks kings. I have some venomous now, I’ve had a permit for a long time.
