So i noticed today in the morning my 6 month old bb male ambilobe was hanging out near the pot of the umbrella plant in his cage then i walked in the room like twenty minutes later and saw him trying to take a bite of dirt from in between the rocks in the pot. What does this mean, why is he trying to eating dirt?

I was told he may be lacking in some mineral? I'm not entirely sure, but mine does that every once in a while, but I have fine organic soil, so if he happens to get to it, I don't worry since he can't really get impacted from anything in the fine soil. I do cover the soil with larger rocks to discourage it, but if he happens to, I'm not too worried.
