Trust Bonding!

Today, I offered my veiled a horned worm as a little treat during his dinner time.

Instead of turning black and running away, I watched as he slowly came closer. At first, I wasn’t sure if he wanted the worm (he hates the sight of my evil hand), but he started to smack his lips… and then, he snatched it right off my hand!

This is the first time Rango has ever eaten directly from me. I think it’s safe to say that I’m finally starting down the path of trust building!

Yay! The allure of the green gummy worms always wins out.
You might want to hide your fingers or he might someday try to eat them. I have to make a fist and put the worm on the back of my hand, especially for my lady Stella who thinks fingers are just fat worms.

I always say ‘good morning noodle! Would you like a gummy worm?!’ My husband comments on how I call them gummy worms. Now I can tell him I’m not the only one lol
