Hilarious I love it! You and trice really were made for eachother, he's taken to you quite well.

Is he your first reptile? Some people have that knack to just calm and ease them, like a chameleon whisperer haha

he is my first chameleon i have had a ball python she was awesome but she was an escape artist and i had a new born at the time so i gave her to my husband best friend and i get to see her when ever i want!!!

after the second time i knew i couldn't have her showing up in the crib but i do miss her but there is i can say i am a reptile person i would rather have a reptile then a cat or a dog!

I'm the same! The only animal with fur allowed in my house is my ferret, and he's just a fun ball of slinky lol

How is your beardie by the way? I'm sure pascal is watching over your new addition with much care!

He's sick :( I left for the weekend and left him with Jared (bf) and came back and he's really really sick :( sunken eyes, dehydrated, shedding, wont eat.

But the girl is perfectly fine!!

I'm pushing water and pedialyte, and giving baby food sweet potatoes, but idk what else to do :( Talked to the breeder, giving him a couple days with me doing this, and if he's unimproved he'll send me a new one :(

Oh no I'm so sorry! Now that your giving him extra attention he should bounce back, just need a lil recovery time. Did you try putting him in a shallow bath water? I've seen people do that before to get em drink more and to make em go to the bathroom

thats fine i have been reading though out the threads but i do have one more question does you chameleon sometime opens his mouth really wide and just keeps it like that for a couple of mins and on the left side of his mouth look a little swollen it making me a little worried i just got him :(

When they open their mouths they're letting the saliva in their mouth evaporate cooling the air as they breath in to cool down their internal organs. Basically he's just too warm. I don't have a Jackson so I can't give you much advice on the proper temps of his environment but do a search on this forum and I'm sure you'll find a thread that can answer that. Can you post a pic of his lip you think is swollen? Tomorow is fine if he's sleeping and don't disturb him

Oh, Trice is very sweet and that's a cute name for a Jacksons. Trice-ratops, right? :)
Jac1582 is right that the 'gaping' usually means that he is too warm. If he has excess saliva or swelling there may be something more to think about so perhaps it would be best to fill out the form https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/

that why i did name him Trice because he reminded my husband and I of a Triceratops i thought it would be prefect for him<3
