Just for future reference,, how do you guys take your chameleons to the Vet? In a covered cage or in a box with a towel in it?
I'm guessing you want go keep it in the dark to help keep their stress level down..

Thanks, Lisa

I usually line a shoebox with lots of paper towels. Then I make a little spot to put them and put paper towels over them. One time we went to the vet and it was cold, so we put a heat pack in there with him.

A dark shoe box is great. You are right about a dark spot=reduced stress levels.
Be careful of using a cage as if there are potted plants, etc, inside the cage, any shifting of the plant(I'm sure it wouldn't be caused by your driving:)), may cause injuries to your cham.

Thanks Kwelp68,
that sounds like a safe, minimally stressless way to get them there.... Lisa

Small travel cage when young. My guys ride on a plant they love to look around. These guys are not the norm and neither are the babies. Stanley would freak out in a box. He's use to riding around on my shoulder.

When I take mine, I use a small box with a dowel rod run through it to give them something to grip on to. I line the bottom of the box with crumpled paper towels then lightly tape the top closed.

Jann, i agree "our" guys are definitely not your average chameleons!!! :) what ever way Stanley wants to get there, is OK with me,,,

no freaking out will be allowed... especially if i let him drive!!! HA!!!

i can just see Luie and Chamille riding around in the passengers seat, in the top of a plant, checking out the view!!!:D
