HI all

My new baby female veiled is coming up 5 months old, and I'm thinking about getting a laying site in for her, just in case. (I'm keeping her temps down and food intake regulated so hopefully she shouldn't ovulate, but I'm a bit paranoid about the whole thing). Trouble is, most of the sites which specify sizes of laying sites are American, and state them in US gallons - I'm in England and don't have a clue what one of them looks like!! Can some one give me some dimensions in inches or cm please??

Here are a few I have used-the flower pot is 12" around by 12" deep. I use a mixture of coconut fiber and playground sand-this makes it easier to dig, holds a tunnel, is easy to get out of if the tunnel collapses, and does not way 100 pounds like straight sand would.

Thanks for that. I have used a 50:50 playsand/compost mix which seems tobe holding quite nicely. I've put a small pot in (8 inches x 8 inches) as shee's not in her adult viv yet so space is a slight issue. Hopefully it will at least show signs of digging should tht happen and I can increase the size etc if that happens! (Quite how at this point I don't know). what with the 3 live plants in their pots, hopefully it'll be a start.

I use 80% moist sand, 20% soil or 100% moist sand.
Dimensions of the laying bin: the soil is 55cm deep which is something like 22 inches (container is 60cm deep (24") but I dont fill all the way so that her digging doesnt toss sand everywhere), 60cm length and 30cm width
