Toxic or non-toxic

This is to all you members that know a thing or two about trees. I looked at a "chameleon safe" plant list to see what trees that I could put in my enclosures. I chose the umbrella and ficus benjamina. Now I have 16 chameleons and just about all of them eat the leaves from these plants. I'm a little worried about the white "latex" looking goo that oozes out of the ficus trees when the leaves are broken. I've looked at a bunch of the members pics on here and I see that a lot of u have ficus trees in your enclosures. Now I haven't had any sick chameleons yet, but I was wondering if the ficus benjamina trees are toxic or non-toxic?

they have that sappy discharge that can be harmful, but my chams really don't eat them too much, u must have vieleds eating them huh?

i wouldn't let it worry you unless you started to see iritations anywhere, but if they start targeting these plants more, you'll want to take them out and get some non toxics

make sure to keep them all well feed and hydrated and you shouldn't have a problem and if you do you'll already know whats causing it
