i know the stars or "raidiated" are i got this one for 60 bucks with everything so couldnt pass it up

Question, Tyler.. for the doggy doors.. how do they realize they are movable? Do they just realize it over time? This is a suggestion I'll have to pass on to my uncle.

I use thick black rubber that they make for garden ponds, then cut a few vertical slits in it, so they can see a little light through. The ones that can't figure it out, I just put in there myself each night (they can always get out) and after a few days they are usually able to get in and out after that.

The growth rates are VERY variable... Out of the egg, they're 1.5" maybe 2" long. Generally, my 1 year olds are around 3.5" long... I have an 8 year old (I got it about 6 years ago) that is now 17" (it's the smaller one in the far side of that photo). I have people at shows tell me all the time that they have 2 year olds that are 12".... Not sure I believe that, but I guess it's probably possible. A customer of mine that bought a 2" baby in December says it's now 5". I think if the focus is on a single tortoise, fed very rich foods in ideal conditions, they're going to grow really fast. Mine eat a very lean, fibrous (grassy) diet, and their growth is slower (tends to make prettier, smoother tortoises).

Well, you know, I hate driving to the store for greens, so I just get lazy LOL... It was actually a photo I took for size comparison (they're 4" torts).
