Too much foliage?

is it possible for their to be too much foliage in the enclosure? I added a second plant today and now my viv is Packed with leaves and vines. I do have a big cage, it's 2x2x4. My Cham seems a bit over whelmed, but I don't know if that is because his cage is so different to him now. Any input would be appreciated!

Does it like like this? or worse?

Usually anything different can cause chams to be a bit unsure the fact that he is already settling in after only a few hours means your guy is pretty chill XD I have seen some bad cases

so i turned on the lights this morning and he is just hanging out near the bottom of his viv. he usually goes straight up to the heat lamp for a good basking.

I don't think there is a thing as too much foliage, unless there is so much that they can't walk around the enclosure at all. The only thing I can think of (because it plagues me to this day) that may be a problem is humidity. Plants hold humidity. So if you have high humidity or humidity issues, then a plant can make it worse.

so i go home today from work at 6:15 and glen was already sleeping on a vine. This NEVER happens. He usually goes to bed at 8:30-9 and usually waits for me to turn the lights off. He did not eat today as he usually eats the most in the evening. I opened the cage to mist him a little bit and when the cage shook he opened his eyes then went back to sleep. After he went back to sleep again i was a bit worried and gave him kind of a few little pets, still not waking up i shut his lights off and am just going to let him sleep. Anyone know why he is sleeping so early after a changed his cage? Yesterday was a hard day for him because he was in a little shoe box for 4 hours in the dark sleeping most of the time while i cleaned and re-did his entire cage (i installed dragon ledges in also) so it took me a while and i went out and bought another plant. So I'm wondering if that could have messed up his sleep schedule?

It could have, and the extra shade could make him a bit confused, sometimes if they find a really shade dense area they can fall asleep early.

I actually took out some of the foliage this morning and am returning the large pothos and buying a smaller one tmro when it comes in, so the light was very similar to what it usually is

Yeah so maybe his sleep schedule just got screwed? Definitely keep an eye on him for any funny business though. >.> gotta be prepared with these guys

sometimes he eats early and sometimes he eats later on. It really depends as I usually hand feed him because i work during the day. Sometimes when i offer him food in the morning he won't want it and then when i come home and offer it he is all over it.

In my opinion as long as he hears up during the day and has an hour of warmth to bask in to digest he should be fine with digestion.

Have you ever thought about free ranging the bugs you feed on the day you can't hand feed? That way he can hunt and feel excited on doing something that comes to him naturally, eat throughout the day on your work days, and maybe just have something to do. Or is your cage too heavily planted that it would be impossible to tell if he's eating or not?

ok update- glen seems back to his old self today and ate this morning. I put in a smaller pothos that looks great. I actually have a wide open space at the bottom right side of my enclosure now and was wondering what that red flowered plant is called again that stands in a pot? lol i know that is an awful description but if anyone knows what i might be talking about please share!
