Hi everyone. This is my first post on here because all has been smooth sailing so far. I have a male ambilobe panther chameleon who is just a little over a year old now. I was on spring break and I had my girlfriend taking care of him which she has done before. He is mostly fed dubia roaches and dusting with calcium without d3 at every feeding, with d3 2 times a month and vitamins once a month.
Today when I got home I had some hornworms I was growing to hand feed him. I have only had him miss maybe one time before this but he missed the worm 4 times until I gave up and put it in his feeder cup to eat. It didn't seem like his tongue was shooting out very far either. He is still eating regularly and I see him drink sometimes when I put a dripper in maybe one or two times a week. When he isn't mad and not puffed up, he looks fine and I can't really see his eyes being sunk in. However when I put my hand above him and he puffs up it looks like his eyes are more sunken in than they usually are when he puffs up.
On my own I would like to say that he is just slightly dehydrated but I wanted a second opinion on if I should schedule a vet appointment now, or just monitor him for a couple days and go from there.
Thank you!
