Tongue Issue After Vet Visit

I took my nosey be to the vet for a foot infection yesterday, The vet was able to drain out some pus and put him on anti-biotics. Today when I feed him I noticed that he tried to shoot his tongue out and only came out about half an inch. I'm guessing he was giving some kind of relaxant/pain killer before he extracted the pus that might have caused him to bite his tongue. Has anyone ever experienced this before? I'm going to call the vet tomorrow but it has me concerned right now.

The vet checked him out and he said he looked healthy and had no signs of any other problems besides the foot infection.

Its possible the medication has caused him to not be able to shoot his tongue. If so, it should only be temporary.

How is he being supplemented?
