To much light..?

Is there such thing as to much? Im not talking UVB just light in general. I have a new Zoo Med hood. It has 1, 24" flouresent fixture, 3 sockets for basking bulbs, heat emitters etc. And I just added another double socket for 2 compact flouresent "Indoor sunshine" For plant growth. That just seems like alot of light to me. How do these little guys stand it!!! I will check all my temps carefully when this goes on my new cage. I was thinking I could just omit the 2 outside bulbs and just use the flouresents and use the heat emitter (maybe)...... I have options obviously;) What do you guys think? Thanx Dave

Well.... Hello Anne! I sent you some pics E Mail;)I was wondering if the flouresents were enough light and could use the emitter for more warmth?

No... This hood is going on a cage I am almost done building. My current setup doesnt have any emitters. My Apt stays 72 year round. When this thing is fired up it looks like a Jumbo Jet coming in at nite!

Ya know...those sockets are just there for your convenience...you don't have to use them. As long at your temps are okay, light it so you're happy with it.

Yes,, I will be doing lots of experimenting with different options..For instance I dont know if I will need 2 of those CFL's for good plant health. I must say though.. this hood is the BOMB! It wasnt cheap either.
