I have a 5 month old veiled and I can tell that he is already growing to big for his cage that I have him in right now. Any suggestions on what kind of cage I should get and how big should it be? Thanks
For a five month old he should be big enough to move out of anything smaller than 16x16x20 inches. I would go with either a 18x18x30 inches (unless you don't want to buy another cage, then buy a large) or 24x24x48 inches cage.
If you buy the 24x24x48, I recommend blocking 1/3 of the cage off until he grows big enough to use all of it. Maybe take a plastic sheet with fishing line in 4 corners and tie it to the inside of the cage so he cannot get to the bottom.
That may not be necessary though. I moved my chameleon directly into the 24x24x48 inches and he was fine.
