tiny spiderwebs on horns?

Hey guys, weird question.
Has anyone ever seen tiny spider web's on their Jackson's chameleon?
The guy at the pet store said Jackson's are particularly susceptible to parasites and to me it looks like web's from spider mites? (I've had those little nightmares on my prized plants).
I was just wondering. Also, yes. He has damage on his horn and the pet shop couldn't tell me what had happened to it. He was being housed with a female and they both looked really stressed so I got his cute little rump outta there! I think maybe he and the female fought and hurt his horn. She looked very healthy and I'm sure is happy to be alone now. (He is too besides stress of new cage, he even ate and drank like a tiny champ this morning).
If it is spider mites can they hurt chameleons? Please let me know. Regardless he will be getting a get visit for a checkup when I get paid next. You wont be able to see the tiny webs but
Here is my sweet boy:
