ok, so its been a solid week since my baby cham has shed. but up around the plate area on her head are a few patches of skin that has not come off yet
this isn't the greatest picture but you can see the spots on her head.

any advice on these areas of skin not coming off?

thanks again everyone for the input.

They should come off eventually. I had my one guy who had a troublesome spot on his nose and I took a qtip with a little dab of mineral oil to soften it up. It seemed to do the trick. Misting with some warm water of course, could help also.

ok cool, I mean, I don't think they are in spots that are cutting of any circulation. maybe I can take a qtip and some warm water and dab them a little bit. she hates the mister. when the mistking comes on she bolts for the corner of the cage where the mistking doesn't get. but thank you for your input

Sometimes I have to crack out the baby tooth brush for the ridges along the crest. They very stubbornly hold onto stuck shed. Ferdinand does not like it, but it needs to be done. Just be gentle and don't force skin that's not ready.

I will gently massage the area too and don't pull, it could tear the underlying skin if it is not ready to release. A lot of people will put their chams in the shower for 15 or 20 minutes. They put a plant in the shower, the cham on the plant then direct warm water from the shower head onto the wall so the water bounces off the wall onto the plant. The added moisture and humidity can help to loosen the skin. I can't do this as I don't have a shower:(. I don't do this often as they both hate it. Only when a piece of skin seems to be bothering them and they are rubbing against branches or trying to get it off some other way. The only exception I make to this is if shed does not seem to want to come off of their toes or the end of their tails. I will intervene with a much hate massage. I tell them I don't know why they hate this as I pay a lot of money to have it done to me:D!!!
