Time for a vet trip?

My ambilobe cut a small cut on may 28th and the first pic is of that date. The other two pics are from today, he has not shed since, we did put neosporin on the injury for about a week. does this look like a normal healing wound or should I be worried and be scheduling a vet appt? We are first time chameleon owners and aren't sure, and we would be grateful for any input.

OW!

I don't know anything about cuts, etc. but I do know that when they are bruised it appears as dark or black spots.

How did he cut himself? Was it deep and through the skin? Bleeding? Is he still eating, drinking and otherwise acting normal?

Sorry I can't be of much help other than to hope this all works out okay for you and your good looking (other than the owie) critter.

^^^ I'm with holy... Idk much about cuts but id take him to an experienced chameleon vet as soon as you can. Good luck and keep us posted.

He is acting completely normal, the cut was only superficial, no bleeding at all. We also treated with neosporin as directed by screameleons. They said it looked normal and should look better after his next shed. I was just curious if someone else had any similar experiences. Will keep you posted. Thanks for help though

Yeah like they said it looks bruised. Has the cut itself healed? I can't tell in the picture. My boy got a rather large gash on his casque from my late veiled chameleon, it took months for it to heal. It is now just a white scar, but I don't think his coloring will come back. if it looks like it is healing well it shouldn't be an emergency but you should take him to an experienced reptile vet to have them take a look to make sure it isn't infected.
