Thundersnow?

Anyone ever witnessed it? I've always heard of rare occurences of people having lightning during snowstorms and that it's supposed to look amazing, anyone ever seen it?

We had one here a couple of years ago. An enormous flash and clap of thunder followed by loads of snow! It was quite something!

My friend said it was thundering while snowing in Frederick Maryland last night. Ive never seen the 29 years I lived in WV and MD.

In oregon all we get is rain lots of it but it makes our summers awesome!!! I remember one thunderstorm and lightening storm we had was awesome. the whole sky turned black it was an amazing site.
