I would like to get into the cham world! I have heard the Panther or veiled chams are good starters, but I would like something smaller? perhaps. I do realize the costs and conditions needed. Please any help is great!:D

maybe look into some pygmy chameleons? not all of them are good for beginners though, so do some research. :)

Our Ambilobe is relatively easy to take care of. I think Veiled's are the "easiest" though.

Good luck and welcome to the family.:D

have you heard of a Rudis? and any good easy pygmies? all i have heard of is the veiled and Panther now fischers. i have read about pygmy leaf...

I have no idea on what to do...

What about a Jackson? They are smaller and often a first timers pick.

What i'd do if i were you is take these that have been mentioned, and start doing research on all of them and finding out what you will be able to provide the best care for. They are not all exactly the same. Their is a search tool on here and that will get you lots of information.

Once you have one picked out, do even more research on that species before you make the purchase and you will have happy lil lizard.

i dont want a jackson, i want a "Nice" looking chameleon.... i have a 55 gallon with crested geckos in it, i am hoping for a smaller species because i am running outta room :p

A panther might be too big for you then. :(

As stated above, continue doing your research. You are on the right road asking questions and doing your homework.

Good luck to you.

A healthy Jackson is a Nice looking chameleon. Pygmys on the other hand ugly cute little critters:D

well whatever you do dont get a veiled they are mean and stress easy and my little isnt taking food unless we arent there

no i dont want a 3 horned chameleon senegals and Rudis look good

the female jacksons do not have horns

if you plan to use a glass terranium tank, then give pygmies a try,

other than that, i suggest a K.multituberlacata(fischers cham)

there arent many easy small chams to work with

I don't know anything about Rudis but I own brevs (pygmy leaf chameleons). I like them because you can keep them in glass enclosures and in colonies. They are pretty easy to take care of because no one really knows if they need a uvb light (i use one to be on the safe side) and they can be kept at room temperature. They are pretty cheap to take care of after all the initial costs of enclosure, plants, lighting ect. Here is a good care sheet for them and it should tell you basically everything you need to know, and you can search the forum for any other questions you might have. Just do some research and see which chameleon is the best fit for you.
