This is what happens when you order too many crickets!

So I recieved my package of 1500 crickets from Mulberry Farms this afternoon. I had to put them in a 10g tank but as I opened the box I couldnt get them all in the 10g tank at once. So I took them to the bathroom and had to post this pic. It took me a hour to catch all the crickets and put them in the tank and capture the escapees.

I'm still laughing just got 500 for the first time and my son and I worked on getting them I. A tub come to relize the egg crates didn't fit some went in the tupperware container. And the others in a 5 gallon bucket ...juzt loads of fun and learning! !!

I'm in rented housing and according to my wonderful realtor, we don't have pets, we have scientific study resources ;)

Just another time where a dustbuster comes in handy! When we get our box of 1000 crickets, my hubby is in charge of the "transfer" into the cleaned 10 gal, and I stand by with the dustbuster to suck up any that are dumb enough to try to leap for freedom :D

Mine go into a big plastic rectangle tub. None ever escape as I empty them. I cut a big hole in the top and put screen in with the heavy double stick tape that you have to peel off the backing. Sticks great and the crickets get lots of air. Never a problem. All my used paper towel rolls and toilet paper rolls go into the tub so I can just shake the crickets out into a cottage cheese container, etc with the calcium and then shake. Voila, ready to feed. No escaped crickets.
