Thinking of expanding my brev colony

Hello everyone. After the passing of my male, i was left with 2 females. Both of them are living in a 10 gallon aquarium. When i get back from my vacation, i am going to get another male. BUT i am thinking of maybe getting 2 males and 2 more females. I will then have 2 colonies of 1.2 in 2 separate cages. I just wanted to ask all you brev people if you think a 12x12x18 will be good for a 1.2. I am really interested in raising my own brevs.

PS-I am not saying that im ONLY going to raise brevs. I have 41 veiled eggs due to hatch in a month or 2 and will raise those guys up with pleasure. I just want to get more involved with brevs then i am already. I love my veileds and brevs equally.:D

What do you think?
 
First I want to say how sad it is to hear that you lost your male.
I've watched many of your videos of your brevs and know you cared for him well.

Btw, I'm still on the market for some CBB brevs so if your remaining eggs are still good and your looking for a home for 1 or more, please keep me in mind.

I actually just bought out VegasChad's pymys (6, dunno sexes yet, I pick them up Monday) I'm excited!
 
rite on clea, im almost thinkin about sellin the babies and my adult male and movin on to Brookesia Stumpffi, if i can find some and getting a group of those goin, theres couple others i like but my fav is the stumpffi.. i got the bearded first to make sure i could breed and raise them before spendin the big bucks for the other pygs, id stay with the ones i got but it costs more to ship one then to buy one...an now my last female died same day ur male did im thinkin bout makin the switch..
 
Warp- I will keep you in mind. I may have 1 for you, me and bocajan:). Bocajan has my eggs now and she said they are getting very clear or "glassy" :) so it may be time soon. Lisa- they are very addictive!!! Everyone else- I will keep you updated. We will see what happens

i also have the adult male too stefan hes all alone now my last female died the same day urs did, i haveta look bk to there hatch dates to be exact but the first are over a month old and the second 4 are few weeks, like i said id haveta look bk at my threads to be exact..

I won't. If you want and rob sells me some I can give you 2. I didn't forget about you. It is getting harder to find cb ones to be honest. But I amblooking for both of us
 
I am just wondering, not bashing on anyone that has had pygs pass on them, what causes it? I mean I had my male for six months, he was a champ, ate like one too. I had him in a 12 by 12 by 18 exo terra packed with live and fake plants, no uvb or any lighting however. I recently traded him, but am looking at getting back into pygs also. Julirs, I remember an old thread on your bins as housing, is that still doing well for you? I was just wondering if I could use these tubs, but with the lid, with drilled holes into the tub?

lol i know ya are naomi already pmed me earlier about it, im lovin these guys but i really want the other brevs, dont even know if theres any around rite now but ill wait if i haveta, if there was more people here on the west coast i mite stay with these but doesnt seem to be they all seem be bk east..

Stefan-I don't have any babies-I have not really been focusing on them.

Addicted-the tubs are still working better then any other housing. I have one of the males that I hatched out in 08 still going strong, and he fathered one of the males that I have from last year living in a tub next to him that needs a girlfriend. With my 08 male is a WC female almost 2 years old that seems to be barren, she has not laid eggs since the eggs that produced that babies that Danny and Laurie have. They seem to be just friends. :p I imagine at Daytona I will pick up a new crew. I wish I had kept more females over the years, but I always seem to think that I will stop keeping the pygs, but that never seems to happen.
