Trioceros schubotzi is found on Mt Kenya at ~4000m (13,123 ft.) I'm guessing it may be pretty cool up there.

That is the first thing that came to my mind as well. That Trioceros schubotzi is adapted or has evolved to higher cold montane conditions. There are the prospects that other high elevation chameleon species are similarly adapted I think. I am going to read the article in a moment.
