The Supreme Cage

Need to know if anyone has ever put a fish tank under one of thier chameleon cages, and if so how hardcore does it look?

Please feel free to share pictures, I am currently thinking about it but would rather hear from experenced indivuals who have already attempted this venture.

i put two cages above my saltwater tank and it did not turn out good. crickets would get out and get into water filter- not good. fixed the problem. then i noticed i accidentally spilled a little supplement powder on lid- not good (thankfully i had lid to fish tank closed!). and for the way mine was set up it was hard to open aquarium lid.... but thats just my failed attempt. if you do it right i'm sure its really cool

I have often thought it would be cool to have my cham living above a little lake in the bottom of their viv with water plants to keep the critter from the water and maybe some betta living down there. It would be alot easier too since I put at least 2 liters through the dripper each day and have to pump it out of the bottom of the exo-terra viv I use.

Everyone says how much bacteria and fecal matter would end up in a little waterfall and how bad that can be for a cham so I have never tried it out.

My exact thoughts, have the fish tank do the filtering.
Just so happends this company makes affordable tanks to the size of standard tanks...

I just think it would be fantastic if it will work. You could always put a mesh between the tank and cham living area that would keep your critter from falling in and keep most of the fecal matter from going into the tank? Then, figuring out how to process the remaining waste so your fish could live in it safely.

yup

Im thinking about getting some line paper and draw up some blue-prints,
As I experenced building cages (that I never used) its best to know exactly what will be done before you get going

I wouldn't put it over saltwater/reef tank. The salt evaporates upward. Possibility of some salt crusting on the cage above it or the evaporated/heated water causing some dehydration in the cham... dunno just tossing up things to think of fro ma ex reef keeper.
