The Mysteries of Rio

So Rios outdoor enclosure is all but set up, I am waiting on his hibiscus tree. When weather permits he goes outside in his outdoor enclosure.

But I’ve noticed in March when i was like 80 degrees I put him outside same plants and he would roam all over the enclosure.

It’s April when it’s nice out I put him outside and he hides in his Boston fern the entire time he is outside, he doesn’t come out of the fern. The only thing that’s changed his is plants have grown more and filled in.

Why do you guys think he is now hiding when he goes outside? He doesn’t roam his enclosure anymore. And it’s literally only when he’s outside. I have animals but they pay no attention to his enclosure where it’s at isn’t exactly thrilling for them. So he’s left alone. I just don’t know why he’s acting afraid of it now

No. He has 2 cages. His indoor cage is a dragon strand hybrid cage.

His outdoor cage is a bird cage. Both the same dimensions. The bird cage is a screen enclosure.

But that never bothered him before he would roam and hunt all day in that thing. His plants filled in more but that’s all.

Ideally the temps here in TN are gonna stop dropping below 60 degrees at night and he’s gonna stay out there til the warm season ends.

But the temps haven’t situated themselves yet.

Friday I will post pics of his Indoor vs outdoor enclosure. His hibiscus tree won’t be here for awhile because I’m waiting on the nursery. But the other plants are in there.
