So, mychamtini and I have come up with a master plan, and we felt we should share it with the community!
We both love so many of the various chams, and cant decide on which ones we want most. SO, the idea is:
We will buy a piece of land, and build a customized building on it to house chams.
We will do breeding projects and keep the following cham species:
Nosey Falys, started by Glacier and my new girl, possbily some from her if/when she buys them
Nosey Be's
Mitsio's
Ambanja's
Ankify's
Ankarmy's
Parsons
Meller's
Hoehnelli's
K multi's
Quads
Derms
Oustelot's
Pygmies (of all kinds)
Giant Spiny
(i think thats all, though odnt be surprised if we add more to the list
)
This building will be customized to the hilt to care for them.
Esentially it will be a long hallway, with rooms on each side.
Each room will house 2 free ranged pairs of each species, and each species wil have its own room.
Each room will then be divided somehow so that no cahm can leaves its free range section. this way, no lines get crossed.
SO for example, room 1 wil have
Faly male A, Faly female A on one side
and Faly male B, Faly female B on the other side.
Then, once the females show signs of being gravid, aggression towards the male, or are about to/ have laid eggs, the girls will be seperated from the males, and housed in a seperate room, so they can lay in peace, or recover.
Each female will only be bred at max 2 times a year. and after a couple years will be retired.
We will then have another room in whcih all eggs are to be incubated.
And another room to house all babies in once hatched.
YEt anothe room will be for breeding the vast amount of bugs to feed them all.
Hornworms, Silkworms, roaches (yes me and roaches, i know) SUpers, Wax, Butter, And if at al possible, locusts/grasshoppers... Crickets. etc. enough to feed everybody. and hopefully to even sell.
We plan to get imports and create whole new bloodlines.. and everyone will want our babies!!
The building will have built in basking and uvb lights, and a built in misting system, humidifier, and cooling system (for the parsons to hibernate)
Of course, we will have to hire somebody (or two) to feed every one and take care of them, so we will of course have a small kitchen, bathroom, and office area.
each cham will get its on binder to store its vet records in, and breeding lines, etc etc.
