This is my first chameleon, which death would probably be age related. Yesterday our beautiful Green Prince Sonny left us

. His age remains a mystery, but he was 4 years and 2 weeks with us. When I took / saved him, the pet store owner told me he was around 1, but it was clear poor Sonny had rough start of life. He was living in a small glass tank underneath cash register counter, terrible!! Constantly seeing people in front and above of him. The owner also told me, he would put him every evening in a kind of cooler because of the needed low night temps, unbelievable. Therefore he needed to come to us.........he looked terrible, see his journey https://www.chameleonforums.com/thr...-the-trioceros-jacksonii-xantholophus.183794/ but soon he would grow out to become a handsome prince, known by this community and also made it twice into the CF calendar
, proud of you my boy!!
After the first few days with us in an enclosure, he got his free range space and lived there for 4 years, without having once an issue with him. He was such mild character and almost considered social. The free range was situated in our home office room and he was always willing to come over and say hi, took his time with you on the monitor or keyboard or whatsoever. But, Sonny also smart, he learned himself how to enjoy his outside time, and would walk independently outside towards his favorite olive tree and after 1 till a few hours, he would walk back inside and go straight to his free range area. I know @MissSkittles loves this vid and sometimes I would come home witness our prince waiting in front of the door to go outside.
I can keep writing about his adventures forever, however dude, buddy, tank, we gonna miss you

you leave an empty space in literally everything. This season he has slowing down a bit, not much of roaming and much of appetite. The last week his right fore arm started swelling and he left it dangling, which quickly went to both arms and a rear arm dangling. Then Thursday his grip strength was gone and I could see his eyes started sunk in, which got worst on Friday, which in the evening the deep sleep/coma started. Saturday morning his heart stopped completely
Hopefully, you meet your little buddy and friend Ranjo on the other side, so can you share stories again. Till we meet again my friend, R.I.P. Sonny
