That old "Hide and Seek" game

Hello again forum! Just thought id de-lurk for a bit to ask a question that will help me in the near future. I recently introduced my Cham to a new free range and now I can't get him out of it! His temperament has gone from very shy to very social and it's been a delight watching this transition.

Now for my question, I'm sure someone on here has had their chameleon climb down and go adventuring into unknown corners of their house. I'm curious to know where you have found your Cham hiding in, under, or on? My boy Poe is very confident climbing to the base of his tree so I'm assuming he will start his venturing soon enough!

Pete has been caught in the crack in the baseboard heater. Yes, essentially directly on the coil. Thank GOD the heat was off and now the heat is always off when he is out and about. I never would have thought the little man would actually wedge his body in there and just hang out but that's what he did.

Merlin got under a bed, twice. Now I have cardboard surrounding his free range plants so he can't escape (at least he hasn't so far).

That's all interesting stories.. I can't imagine finding my Cham around a heat coil! Or let alone outside! I'm going to have to need up my floor security for sure, luckily I haven't found him on the floor... Yet :s

Smidget (who is very small) managed to squeeze under the UV fixtrue on top
of Slinky's cage. I had spent a few hours franticly searching, then noticed
what looked like the end of a tail sticking out from under the fixture.

He had stuffed himself in the tiny space between the UV tube and the fixture
like a sardine in a can
