I just wanted send out a thank you to everyone who have me tips and advice! I am proud to say that my girl Amelia finally laid her 1st eggs ( they are not fertile so maybe they are called something else). I was getting very concerned for awhile there because she's about 10 months. Anyway as a first time Chameleon owner I would have been lost without all the friendly help I got from the forums! So thanks again and keep it up!

WOO! Yay forums. :D My female still has not and she is 1 year 6 months, she has yet to show gravid colors though! Laying bin is always available to her :D Aaaaand of course there is my little panther :D

Glad to hear the good news!

This forum really is the best.

Really glad that it all went well for you and Amelia :)

We're expecting our first clutch soon do can fully appreciate how nervous a time it is!

She's doing good! She laid her eggs yesterday morning. She laid 56 eggs, we couldn't believe it! Everything happened the way I read it would which made me happy! However, today she is still a dark gravid color and although she is much smaller she still looks like she has a tiny pouch in her tummy left? I havnt seem her eat yet and now she is moving around a bit more. Any ideas? This is all ok right?

Also good luck blackened! It is very stressful waiting but watching her do her thing and seeing how natural it came was so neat to experience!

Thank you, champhoto! Just out of interest did you have to place your girl in the lay bin?

Thank you Jannb, also. I've re-read your blog :)

I actually have her in a large hibiscus tree in a 5ft tall mesh enclosure with a large pot filled with organic soil and about 12 inch of the coconut substrate on top of that. I figured if she wouldn't use the pot I would do a seperate laying bin with sand. I lucked out though.

She did eat right after I posted that hahaha. Pets love to make liars out of us lol but when do you think her color will be normal?
