Termites

Yeah do what JustinIgor said put this in the for sale section of the forums. Oh and do chams eat termites? I've never heard of that before.

yeah. I live in CA.. where they use lotsa woods to build houses..
I am not taking any chances...

I forget the species of termite, but there is a species used as feeders that only eat a specific kind of wood, not used in buildings etc. So they really aren't a risk. Regardless it was still illegal to ship them. I had talked to a pet shop in FL and they told me all of this.

Well the petshop who told you all of this is wrong they are not illegal to ship with proper paperwork permit's etc.Depending on the state you live in.
Thanks I will place the add elsewhere.
And yes baby cham's and smaller type cham's will eat termite's.

so im getting a chameleon soon and my room just got infested with termites and some got in my cage. can chameleons eat wild termites and be ok?

Termites area great feeder for young and smaller chameleon species! Just make sure you collect hem from a location that has never had pestisides applied. I've seen Brookesia species in the wild eat them.

Don Wells did a excellent article on how to capture them in a past e-zine issue.
