tent caterpillar

Does anyone have a good cham safe way of evicting the tent caterpillars from my crab apple trees??? (Besides the obvious.) I really don't want to fight with them all winter. They are taking over my trees in my cham room, and I don't want my chams eating them. I've been manually removing them (ie glove and vacuum) but I would like them gone.

KILL IT WITH FIRE. i hate those things but when ever they are on any of the trees on my property i hang a small bucket of water next to there nest. they are attracted to the water and drown.

I just cut off the branch below the nest and throw the whole thing in the fire pit!!

Both would work great, except the trees are in the house. So instead of picking a good spot for the "nest" they are pretty much all over the tree. PITA!! I don't want to dispose of the trees, but we'll see . Thanks for the suggestions. I'll see if I can't modify them to use
