The basking spot in my enclosure for my 8 month old Chameleon is currently 88 degrees per my infrared thermometer. There are branches below that go down to 84, 82 and 79. The lowest in the whole enclosure right now is 76. Is that a wide enough range for my 36x24x48?
Males like it a little warmer than females. The basking spot difference of 5°f more for your males should be perfect. I have read 5-10°f degree difference, but better safe than sorry. So, 90°-95°f basking spot, no hotter. They can tolerate 100-110°f, but the risk is NOT worth it. Then, drop down to 85, 80, 75... Night temps from 65-75°f are good. Aim for 65-70°f if you can. Enjoy.
