I have 3 panther chameleons 2 are about a month and a half to 2 months they are kept at 72 - 80 and 82 basking temp. But I had a question about my new baby a 5 month old tamatave I have his 2x2x4 cage at 72 at the bottom to 82 at the top and a baking spot of 85 to 90 it fluctuates through out the day are these Temps fine? I believe they are I just want to double check I just got him Tuesday and just want him to be comfy so he can settle in and I can try to get him use to me so he doesn't freak out

Usually, with panthers, temps are kept on the lower spectrum until roughly 9 months of age. 85 in my opinion is not too hot. Although, 90 degrees is for his age. I would just raise the basking light a smidge so the temp stays more in the range of 85 than 90.

Okay thank you that's why I wanted to check. I got it down to 87 that's the highest i could get the basking light from the cage. Hopefully that will work if it gets any higher I'll drop the wattage down in the lamp. thanks again
