Temporary screening

I built a pair of outdoor encolsures for 0.1 montium and 1.1 weirdeshemi I have coming in tomorrow. The hardware cloth I was going to use to screen the cages was supposed to arrive at Ace today but for some reason they said it won't be coming in till next tuesday. I need to screen the cages quickly for a week until the hardware cloth arrives. I am planning on using that thin plastic mesh used to cover plants so deer don't eat them. Has anyone used this? Do you think it wil be okay for a week?

Don't have any experience with the plastic mesh you are talking about, but I remember seeing it and it looked thin! I have used poultry fence inside my cages to protect nails and it works great, maybe it's something you could consider.

I don't know which mesh you are referring to, but depending on size I have used "pet screen" in the past with great results.

It is probably more expensive than hardware cloth but is great on their feet.
