I currently have a 2 month old chameleon I bought recently off of Flchams.com
I have a 75 watt basking bulb hanging about 13 inches off of the top of the cage and the basking area is at about 84 degrees. Is this a good temperature. In the cooler spot, it's about 71 degrees. I'm just making sure that this is a good temperature for him. Thanks!

Should be OK as long as he can get away from the heat when he wants to. Little chams overheat and dehydrate quickly.

I think 84 should be ok, when i got my panther which as 2 months old my temps were around 86-87 and people told me to drop it down to around 80.

It is maybe a little hot because he is very young. 80 would be more ideal. Can you play around with the branch or the light and try to adjust the temp?

Ok thanks everyone. I moved the light up a little more and the highest it gets in the basking area is how about 81 degrees.
