Temperature Variety

I understand that there should be an assortment of temperatures in a chameleons enclosure. What should the differences be and whats the easiest way to achieve this? My house thermostat is set at 76 during the 100 degree part of the day and 78 during the 80 and below degree part of the day. The ceiling fan in the living room which his cage is located is always kept off

The picture below I have my mist nozzle locations and the direction they spray, my temperature gauge locations, and the temperatures they read. I can only achieve two different temperatures in the enclosure. 85 degrees F at his basking point and 72 degrees F everywhere else (the 72 degrees F drops to 68 during misting).

whats the best way to vary the temperatures in the cage to allow Waldo to chose how warm/cool he wants to be or are these two temperatures good enough?

it seems like you are doing a great job already! You have the temp variations, so what else were you looking for?

i just assumed that there should be more of a variation, 85 degree, 80, degrees, 75 degrees, 70 degree. I guess if two temperatures are fine then I can stop worrying. That and Im sure that the bottom of the enclosure is cooler then 72 degrees.

is 72 outside of the basking spot a good temp to have?
