Temperature in new cage.

My new cage is a four foot cage and the temperature towards the top is like 81 degrees. Does it need to be higher? I'm using the same light from my very small cage. If it needs to be higher, what adjustments can i make

Well, what type of chameleon do you have?

Usually the basking spot is in the low to mid 80's. 81 I think is fine, but it wouldn't hurt to bump it up a degree or two. If you want to do that, try a higher wattage of bulb, or if your lamp is hanging, try moving it closer to the cage.
